These headphones are designed with the intent of wrapping around the user similar to that of a vine wrapping around its host, a natural form rather then fighting it like traditional headphones. Instead of clamping onto the head with uniform pressure, the frame instead traces the natural contour of the ear and surrounding bone structures, settling into the user's existing geometry so it can be worn for hours without the pain of conventional headphones.
In nature, vines are able to succeed for this reason as well, they do not impose themselves but instead grow into the shape they hold, distributing their weight across each point of contact. Similarly, the headphones draw upon this by having a flexible contour-following structure that finds its stability through fitting rather then forcing itself into the user.
The result is a set of headphones which feels less like a piece of technology worn on the body and more like something grown onto.
